Mike Davidson is a Partner at Johnson & Repucci, having joined the firm in 2013 after working for the United States Department of Interior’s Bureau of Reclamation. While at Reclamation, Mr. Davidson worked on a variety of issues relating to water contracts, federal land-use regulations, hydropower development, and other water policy issues affecting the West.
Mr. Davidson specializes in real estate, land use and water law. In his real estate and transactional practice, Mr. Davidson counsels clients on real property acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, title related matters, business acquisitions and HOA matters. Mr. Davidson also represents clients on a variety of land use matters relating to zoning, the entitlement process, permitting issues, federal oil and gas leasing and shared property agreements. Mr. Davidson possesses land use and real estate litigation experience, having litigated quiet title claims, easement and boundary disputes, claims involving adverse possession, and in the leasing context, claims for forcible entry and detainer. On the water front, Mr. Davidson assists clients with all forms of Water Court adjudications, including for new surface and ground water rights, changes of water rights, plans for augmentation and general water resource management and planning. Mr. Davidson represents some of Colorado’s largest ranches and provides counsel on a variety of issues relating to real property, water rights, conservation easements and general ranching matters.
Mr. Davidson graduated law school in 2010 from the Denver University Sturm College of Law, where he served as a general editor on the University of Denver Law Review.
Away from the office, Mr. Davidson enjoys spending time with his son Owen and daughter Cecilia, golfing with his wife Dana, flyfishing and skiing. Mr. Davidson is a fourth generation Colorado native, born and raised just south of Denver.
